Brenton Foster Trio
Brenton Foster returns to Brunswick’s Jazz Lab with his trio featuring the stellar talents of Sam Anning (double bass) and Aaron McCoullough (drums).
Following an incredible 2017 which saw Brenton pick up Best Jazz Album for The Nature Of Light, the band will be playing songs from their upcoming trio record. Spanning The Beach Boys to Burt Bacharach and beyond, Brenton’s soulful vocal stylings and masterful piano playing breathe new life into some timeless classics.
“Foster is quietly forging a path to the upper echelon of the contemporary jazz world.” (Chelsea Wilson, PBS)
Brenton Foster is the 2018 PBS FM Young Elder of Jazz. He will appear at Jazz Lab as part of the 2018 Melbourne International Jazz Festival for the debut performance of his new work, Love, As We Know It.
